August 3, 2004: Dr. Ronald Occhiogrosso of HAFTR High and Middle School and Lennox Henry of Washington Irving High School were featured in the Daily News, August 3, 2004, demonstrating a SMART weather station balloon. (Click here for the online version of this article).

July 22, 2004: Mr. Ram Avni of Middle College High School was featured in the Brooklyn Heights Press and Cobble Hill News, July 22, 2004, demonstrating a mobile robot with whiskers.

July 20, 2004: Professor Vikram Kapila was featured on the front page of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, July 20, 2004, demonstrating an audio enabled Hexapod robot. (Click here for the online version of this article).

March 1, 2004: Ms. Marlene McGarrity, a 2003 SMART alumni, wrote an article about her experiences in the SMART program. The article appeared online in tech-LEARNING, a resource for education technology leaders.

November 25, 2003: Click here to read an article "Engineering Teacher Constructs Mechatronics Device," featuring Bob Gandolfo, a 2003 SMART alumni. The article recently appeared in Bob's school district newspaper, Plaintalk.

October 27, 2003: Sang-Hoon Lee, a member of Mechatronics @ Poly, appeared on the front page of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, October 27, 2003, demonstrating a Hexapod robot to the participants of 2003 student conference of National Consortium for Specialized Secondary Schools of Mathematics, Science and Technology (NCSSSMST).

August 6, 2003: A WABC news segment on the 2003 SMART program was broadcast on August 6, 2003. A local copy of the streaming video file can be viewed by clicking here. July 21, 2003: A NY1-News segment on the 2003 SMART program was broadcast at 6:20 p.m. and between 8 and 9 p.m. on July 21, 2003. In addition, the segment was broadcast at 6:20 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. on July 22, 2003.
